Evelyn is a second-year MALD student at The Fletcher School, concentrating on Human Security and International Security Studies. She is interested in post-conflict reconstruction and the use of media, particularly radio, to advance human needs in war-affected populations. Her research revolves around the concept of resilience and how it can be fostered in populations presumed to be vulnerable. Prior to enrolling at Fletcher, Evelyn graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Skidmore College in 2003 as a double major in Government and International Affairs. After graduation, she moved to Washington, DC where she worked for a private international economic consulting firm until 2006. Evelyn spent the next year in Istanbul, Turkey where she launched a small private teaching business.
