Billie Bender is a second-year MALD candidate at Fletcher. His two fields of study are International Security and International Business. Before coming to Fletcher, Billie served as a sergeant with US Army Intelligence. His undergraduate degree is in political science from the University of Florida (Go Gators!). Billie's interests in international security relate to the study of internal wars, international crime, and statecraft. His interest in international business is more concerned with creating productive opportunities in developing markets, and identifying strengths of government that lead to economic development. Billie's international experience includes military service in Afghanistan, and non-profit development work with Children Beyond Our Borders in Colombia and Foundation Proacceso ECO in Mexico.
