- Elspeth Suthers is a first year MALD student at Fletcher, focusing on Law and Development, and International Negotiation and Conflict Resolution, and has a particular interest in the former Soviet republics of Central Asia and the Caucasus.
Originally from Seattle, Washington, Elspeth has Bachelor's degrees in physics, astronomy and Russian from the University of Washington. She also served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Sabirkend, Azerbaijan, where she taught some children some questionable English, and cemented her desire to keep working in development; a desire which eventually brought her to Fletcher, where she is constantly amazed by the wonderful stories the people around her have to tell.
