So, managing a student schedule again is harder than I thought it’d be. I didn’t think it’d be such a tough switch from a 9-5er to having to manage little 1-2 hour chunks of time all in succession. It’s making me get flaky, which I hate.
For instance, yesterday, I rode my bike to school (that makes me sound 12 years old), which included TAing for an undergrad class of 220 students, a meeting in the middle of the Hall of Flags and a lot of walking around. Well, after getting off my bike, I forgot to unroll my right pant leg (for those non-cyclists out there it’s so I don’t rip it to shreds in my crank)…. I didn’t realize this for THREE HOURS… and it wasn’t even a half-way cool (if we can say that much) gangster roll-up either. It was a middle-school-style French Roll over calf-high leather boots with a flared pant leg in the left…. I’m so awesome.
They say (who’s they?) this is normal, and that it should get better in a week or two…
